About Us

"Born in Fort Collins, Grown up in the world."

WHO WE ARE
Innovative, "queer-edged", fun and often very funny, WSW is a high-quality newsprint magazine with a uniquely feminist perspective.  We reach 1000s of enthusiastic readers (and have since 1991).  "One of the best Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender publications in the country," says Alison Bechdel, creator of the nationally sydicated cartoon Dykes To Watch Out For.

DEMOGRAPHICS
WSW targets a culturally aware audience of feminist and progressive readers who enjoy the thoughtful perspectives offered in our magazine.

CONTENT
Colorado-based with a wide appeal, WSW offers original essays, interviews, cartoons, editorials, art and an extensive Colorado calendar of events.  Readers often say they are "impressed by the quality."  WSW honors include a Vice Versa award for "Best Interview" and Print Magazine's "First Place" for design.

DISTRIBUTION
Mailed directly (USA & Canada) through subscription and locally distributed at over 200 locations (Denver; Boulder; Ft Collins/Loveland/Greeley; Colo Springs/Pueblo) and numerous special events in the Denver Metro area, Front Range and the Rocky Mt. west.

VALUE
Our ads (and subscriptions) are priced so that they are affordable to all.  We love to help small businesses and non-profit organizations connect with the GLBT community.  Consumer research says lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender buyers are 2-times as likely to purchase products/services targeted directly at them.

PUBLISHING SISTERS
A talented group of writers, editors and support staff are dedicated to making this an exceptional publication.
